I am a an artist, mostly self taught. Since I was a child I doodled - mostly only with #2 pencils. Watercolor and colored pencils came next. Subject matter could be anything but I tend to not do landscapes. People, flowers, and day to day items like a spoon or a pepper grinder can be focus of my pieces, with very little background.
Paper cutting is my 'new' thing, with the cuts alone defining the subject matter. Here there is only simplicity, no shading, no lighting to help describe the subject. This is very challenging, but 'too much' fun!
This single cut piece, the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, is relatively simple, but the clouds, angel, and Virgin are easily identifiable. I have done churches, boots, pregnant women, nursing mothers, fairies, horses, birds, many day of the dead images, as well as . And note cards from many of the original images.

Soap - well, that is a whole different subject!! I make soaps, lotions, body sprays, lip balms & scrubs. Making all of this is fun too. Mostly galleries, not gift shops, and not bath places, carry my soaps. If you have used any of my products, and want more, drop a line here or to the e-mail addy on the labels.

On most Saturday mornings from May to October you can find me at the Los Ranchos Growers/Arts & Crafts Market from 7-11 AM.
